Cookie policy
Matom Ltd, trading as Matom and SpongeTech
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used. This policy covers matom.com and spongetech.co.uk.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
Squarespace, which hosts our websites, sets cookies that keep the site working and secure, protect our forms, and remember your cookie choice.
Google reCAPTCHA on our forms checks that a real person is sending the form. It collects device and browser information and sends it to Google.
The law allows these without consent because the site cannot work properly without them.
Analytics (only if you accept)
Squarespace Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages are used and how people find the site. We use this to improve the site. It does not tell us who you are.
These cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.
Embedded videos
Some pages show videos hosted on YouTube, which is owned by Google. If you play one, YouTube may set its own cookies. Google’s privacy policy explains how it uses them.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell information about visitors.
3. Changing your choice
You can accept or reject analytics cookies when you first visit, and change your mind at any time using the cookie preferences link on the site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the site may then not work properly.
4. More information
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. For any question about cookies or privacy, email privacy@matom.com.
5. Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and whenever the cookies on our sites change.
